Frequently Asked Questions
Hospitality Heroes
What does Hospitality Heroes do?
Hospitality Heroes is the Kitchen & Co Collective's consultancy arm, bringing hands-on hospitality expertise to venue owners, hoteliers, restaurateurs and publicans — from turning around an established business to launching a new one.
What kind of businesses do you work with?
Established venues looking to improve profitability and performance, and new-to-market businesses planning a launch — including hotels, pubs, restaurants, event venues and food and drink brands.
What does your consultancy cover for an established business? [
Profitability and ROI, market position and competitor analysis, brand development, supplier screening, sales development, recruitment and training, operating systems reviews, and board-level reporting.
What does your consultancy cover for a new-to-market business?
Concept design and launch planning, strategic planning, brand development, menu design, market research, sales process design, commercial kitchen design, supplier sourcing and recruitment.
Do you help struggling businesses turn around?
Yes. We work with hospitality businesses that are underperforming commercially, operationally or both, helping identify what isn’t working and where the greatest opportunities for improvement lie.
We can review the entire operation, including profitability, food and labour costs, pricing, menus, staffing structures, operational efficiency, customer experience, brand positioning and routes to revenue growth.
From there, we develop a practical turnaround strategy focused on improving performance, strengthening margins and creating a more commercially sustainable business. Where required, we can also work alongside your team to implement the changes rather than simply delivering a set of recommendations.
Do you offer food styling and photography services?
Yes. We provide food styling and creative support for photography and filming across magazines, cookery books, websites, social media, advertising and promotional campaigns.
We can work alongside your existing photographer or production team, or help coordinate the wider shoot to ensure the food, presentation and creative direction reflect your brand and the intended audience.
Do you help develop new food products for retail or hospitality brands?
Yes. We support both hospitality and retail brands with new food product development, from initial concept through to market positioning.
Our work can include product and menu development, market research, competitor analysis, consumer and dining trends, concept testing and commercial positioning. We combine culinary expertise with an understanding of the wider hospitality and food market to help develop products that are both creatively strong and commercially relevant.
How does a consultancy engagement work, and what does it cost?
Every consultancy engagement is bespoke and shaped around the specific challenge, objectives and scale of the business.
We’ll typically begin with an initial conversation to understand what you are looking to achieve before recommending the most appropriate scope of work. This might be a focused strategic project, an operational or commercial review, or a longer-term consultancy engagement supporting implementation and ongoing growth.
Consultancy fees typically start from £1,000 per day, with a tailored proposal and fee structure provided once we understand the scope and level of support required.
Is Hospitality Heroes connected to Indulgence and Kitchen & Co?
Yes — Hospitality Heroes is part of the Kitchen & Co Collective, working alongside Indulgence's luxury event delivery and Kitchen & Co's embedded venue kitchens.
How do I get started?
The first step is to get in touch with our team to tell us a little about your business, the challenge you’re facing and what you’re looking to achieve.
We’ll arrange an initial consultation to understand your operation, objectives and priorities and identify where we can add the greatest value. From there, we’ll recommend the most appropriate next steps and, where relevant, develop a tailored scope of work and proposal.
Whether you have a specific commercial or operational challenge, are planning a new concept, or simply know your business could be performing better, the conversation starts with understanding where you are now and where you want to get to.
Which areas do you work in?
We work with hospitality businesses across the UK and internationally.
Our consultancy is not restricted by location, and we can support businesses, venues and hospitality brands through a combination of on-site and strategic consultancy. For international projects, the scope and delivery model are tailored to the location, scale and requirements of the business.

What's the difference between your service for an established business and a new launch?

Concept development and openings, market analysis, operational assessment, struggling business turnaround, financial planning, cost management, design and brand development, menu creation and profitability review, kitchen design, recruitment and training, pop-up restaurants and visitor attraction cafés.
